"On the ever-uncoiling ribbon of Time,
human figures have appeared,
fierce and frail travellers...
unrelenting actors, for millions
of years performing a drama,
rising to the sublime,
sinking to the ridiculous...
thundering echoes of their
laughing and shrieking
may roll and reel unto us
from these time-worn "Passerelles",
these weathered
"Time-ways" they traverse....
then suddenly appear figurines
on these footbridges,
tiny actors scurry
along their "Time-ways",
their "Passerelles",
on the brink of the void."
